Our Own Enclosed Trailer Gets a Blue-Gray Full-Flake Floor
This was Twin Lakes Epoxy’s own enclosed box trailer, so there is no customer to name. The before and after photos show how a bare plywood deck was turned into a floor that cleans up easily and stands up to loading.
The starting point: an unfinished plywood deck
The before photo shows the trailer interior with an unfinished plywood floor. Plywood is a different substrate from concrete, so it is not diamond-ground like a slab. Trailer decks must be sound, dry and properly prepared for the coating system, and loose or damaged boards need attention first.
The finished trailer floor
The after photo shows a completed blue-gray full-flake coating with a coated perimeter. The decorative flake adds texture and hides scuffs from tools and cargo, and the seamless surface wipes clean. Trailer owners who haul equipment, vehicles or concession gear often choose this kind of floor for the same reasons.
Planning your own trailer floor
Tell Mary the trailer dimensions, the deck material and what you haul. Rex or Houston will inspect the deck, discuss traction and loading patterns, and write a scope that fits. Read more on our enclosed trailer coatings page.
